Irish Bait & Tackle 

Founded in 1972 Irish Bait & Tackle Ltd is a family owned and run operation since its inception, with its main site at Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan.

Set aside the fact that we not only supply our bait to all the major Irish festivals, many World Champions have won major contests in Ireland using bait supplied by Irish Bait and Tackle.

In short we not only supply the best bait to you but also to many super stars of the angling world.

We offer the angler the freshest bait 52 weeks per year and indeed we are the only company breeding maggots in Ireland. All our bait is bred at our super efficient premises near Ballyconnell in County Cavan. Our casters are the freshest available anywhere in Ireland as our expert team tend them on a twice daily basis. Maggots in all colours are also available at the keenest prices, once again brought to you fresh from our breeding beds at the farm. If you care to visit us we will be more than pleased to see you, even if it’s just for a friendly chat or as the Irish say the ‘craic.’

We also have on site our more than well stocked shop offering you a wealth of all top brands of fishing tackle. We cater for all angling disciplines and we are able to supply tackle at budget prices catering for the angler who just has a friendly day out with wife and kids to the professional match angler who uses the most sophisticated equipment.
